Here are a few ways to tinker with our products to either create a gel if that is your preferred fuel source or a concentrated bottle for something like an Ironman when the aid station might not have your preferred nutrition, you don't want to open packets etc.

For a gel-like option you can use 1 scoop per every 1-1.5 ounces.

As a starting point 3.5 scoops or 1 x 53g packet Super High-Carb Drink Mix = 200 calories and 190mg of sodium

7 scoops or 2 x 53g packets Super High-Carb Drink Mix = 400 calories and 380mg of sodium

You can always start with less and add more as needed, based on your caloric and electrolyte needs. You can mix High-Carb with our other hydration mixes into one bottle but you’ll want to do some math and make sure you are getting an appropriate combination of carbs, sodium, and liquid to your needs and to avoid GI distress (too many carbs in too short of a period and you’ll be busting your gut…). This ratio can change depending on the weather, effort, and other factors, so test things in training and if you have questions, hit us up: [email protected]

-You can refrigerate but we do not recommend freezing.

Carbs to go!

The absolute best way to get extra carbs on board. I've been mixing two scoops of the Super High Carb with an extra scoop of the Sport Drink Mix for a super charged 500ml flask. 49g of carbs and 494mg of sodium is perfect for a single flask. I drank this uber-beverage for 18+ hours during a 100mile race with ZERO issues, just add in a few gels an hour and you're golden.

Crossfit

I am a CrossFit athlete and use this during our workouts every morning at 5am. Definitely gives me the energy needed to be at optimum performance in the gym. Also allows my food intake throughout the day to go towards my recovery. Allows me to get some clean/free carbs. Great product.

I think it worked. Used it on a 30 miler winter (20 degrees) ride. I didn’t get tired and did t really need any additional calories. Felt great at the end and didn’t mess up my gut.
This company is great at what they do. Been using their regular hydration powder for years now.

Great for fulling my rides. It adds flexibility to the carbs and electrolytes I need.

Completed a Road Ragnar with my secret drink

Did my first ever road Ragnar relay and took these with me. I had one before each of my 3 runs. The drink goes down so easily and the taste reminds me of the lemon lime sports hydration mix, but not as strong. I didn’t have any tummy issues or sloshing. Between my 3 running legs of the race I was in a van and my food intake was not great. Taking this helped me have enough to get through my two 6+ mile legs (along with some other nutrition) without feeling totally depleted. This drink mix was a lifesaver.

My Secret to Success!

I first tried the super high carb mix during a 75 mile road bike race. This mix powered me through for the first 30+ miles of the race, allowing me to pedal right on by the rest stops. This past weekend I used the high-carb mix again for my XC MTB race and felt so good throughout the race, no bonking whatsoever! Two P1 finishes with this in my bottle...super high carb is here to stay.

Just what I need for those long rides

Amazing for long rides

I started using High-Carb a few months ago for longer solo rides (especially 3+ hours) when I'd like to just ride without stopping to eat. It's amazing how fresh I feel after 5-6 hours and the next day next day, plus avoid that "can't eat/drink any more" feeling on the ride. I start with 2x 200 calorie High-Carb packets plus an 80 calorie Skratch hydration/electrolyte packet into a 650 mL bottle and keep a second water-only bottle to cut it on the fly, and refill with a mix depending on how I'm feeling. The High-Carb is bit pricey for my every day use but for long rides I will always use it and stow a spare packet and never have range anxiety.
