Maple Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies
You may have noticed that we have a thing for bacon around here. We enjoy it for breakfast, lunch, dinner...and sometimes we put it in our cookies. This Maple Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe made with our Skratch Labs Cookie batter is (obviously) one of our favorites.
Maple Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 lb of your favorite bacon, cooked until crispy
1 batch Skratch Labs Cookie batter
1 stick of butter
1 egg
1/4 cup your favorite maple syrup
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Cook 1/2 lb of your favorite bacon until crispy.
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 or 9x9 inch square pan with parchment paper. (NOT waxed paper!)
Chop slightly-cooled crispy bacon into small, diced pieces
Mix together 1 batch Skratch Labs Cookie batter as directed but substitute 1/4 cup of Maple Syrup for sugar
Sprinkle half of your dough in small chunks into your prepared baking pan.
Sprinkle your chopped up crispy bacon and 1/4 cup of chocolate chips into the pan.
Sprinkle in the remaining dough and press the dough and mix-ins together so that the dough is level and the pan corners are filled.
Bake until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.
Cool completely before slicing. Then wrap individually in Skratch Paper! Cookies kept refrigerated will last up to one week.
